WHAT IS IMMIGRATION LAW?

Immigration law governs the movement of people across borders, including entry, stay, work, and citizenship in a foreign country. It varies by country but generally covers visas, residency, asylum, deportation, and naturalization.

Key Areas of Immigration Law
  1. Visas and Entry
Nonimmigrant Visas: For temporary stays (e.g., tourism, business, study, work).
Immigrant Visas: For those intending to live permanently in the country.
  2. Green Cards / Permanent Residency
Based on family ties, employment, refugee/asylum status, or other categories.
  3. Naturalization and Citizenship
Processes by which non-citizens become citizens.
Includes residency requirements, background checks, and a civics test (in the U.S.).
  4. Asylum and Refugee Status
Protection for individuals fleeing persecution or serious harm in their home country.
  5. Deportation / Removal Proceedings

A PERSONAL APPROACH TO IMMIGRATION

Camacho | Bridges is dedicated to taking a personal interest with all of our clients. We believe that all immigration matters, whether for 3 months or for 3 years, are large life changes that require a hands on approach. This is why you will begin and finish your immigration journey with the same attorney who knows every detail of your case.

We also understand that communication is the most important aspect of a smooth and successful process. That is why we implement flat-fee services so our clients feel completely comfortable contacting their attorney without any surprise costs. The result is a smooth 5 step process:

DOCUMENT GATHERING

Once the immigration solution is selected, we send an easy to digest list of documentation to our client requesting the information needed to submit the case.

CASE PREPARATION

After all of the documents are gathered our attorneys prepare and review the case. This involves drafting all of the required forms, support letters, recommendation letters, selecting the proper union and management group review, and making all appropriate legal arguments for the status sought.

FILING

Once the case is properly assembled and reviewed, the case is sent to the appropriate USCIS office to await adjudication.

FOLLOW UP

Once the USCIS office renders a decision, or makes a request for additional evidence, our attorneys follow up with each client to ensure the appropriate steps are taken. When approved, we guide the client through the steps needed to register with the correct U.S. Embassy abroad. In the case of a request from USCIS, we prepare all of the required information and interact with USCIS on the client’s behalf.
